Biography
Michael Princi was admitted to the Massachusetts and Federal District Court Bar in 1975. He is locally and state-wide recognized as one of the top litigators in Barnstable County and Eastern Massachusetts. Michael focuses his practice on Personal Injury and Civil Litigation and has extensive experience in other general practice litigation such as Family Law, Real Estate, and Estate matters.
Michael graduated from Bowdoin College in 1969 and Northeastern University School of Law in 1975. From 1969 to 1972, he served on active duty in the United State Navy, including a tour in Vietnam in 1971.
While in law school and most of his legal career, Michael continued to serve his country in the reserves. In 1978, he transferred from the Navy to the Massachusetts Air National Guard, where he served as Staff Judge Advocate for the 102nd Fighter Wing and in 1990 for the MA Air Guard, retiring in 1999 as a full Colonel.
While serving as SJA, he handled several complex legal matters relating to the environmental clean-up at Otis ANGB. Toward the end of his military career, he lectured commanders nationally on environmental compliance.
Michael was active in the Massachusetts Bar Association and the Massachusetts Academy on Trial Attorneys where he served on the Board of Delegates for many years. He presented continuing education programs on automobile accident cases and real estate litigation.
For eight years Michael served the Joint Bar Committee for Judicial Appointments, two as chairman. As part of his commitment to the ethical practice of law, he was a hearing officer and represented indigent attorneys for the Massachusetts Board of Bar Overseers.
Over his forty-five (45) year-career, he has recovered millions of dollars for accident victims and represented businesses and individuals in real estate, probate, and business litigation. He has appeared and presented hundreds of cases before Superior, District, Land, and Probate Courts.
Michael represented Housing Assistance Corporation for over 43 years and contributed his time and effort to promote affordable housing on Cape Cod. He currently serves as a member of the Board of Directors of the Cotuit Center for the Arts and over the years has devoted extensive time, experience, and energy to his community.
